Action Alert: Another Chance to Demand Care Not Cops in the FY2023 Budget (Action Completed)

​As we’ve reported in previous weeks, SSJC and our partners prepared for and delivered a strong showing in favor of Care Not Cops during this year’s Council hearings on the FY2023 budget.  Our Coalition, a number of our individual members, and our partners submitted written and oral testimony.  You can read our Coalition’s written testimony here.  Our partners at Jews United for Justice also created an action alert addressing a number of budget items that are needed for our County to move forward next year in a just and equitable way, including not funding harmful and unnecessary police budget items and instead allocating sufficient funds to mental health supports.  Please take a minute to complete the alert now so that you can share your views on the budget through a quick, but valuable email.  You can use the language in the template or modify it to your liking.
